Golden Temple museum to have IAF Marshal Arjan Singh’s portrait

The SGPC president said that Arjan Singh’s picture would be placed along with the 1965 Indo-Pak war hero, late Lieutenant General Harbakhsh Singh and General Jagjit Singh Aurora, here of 1971 war.Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Kirpal Singh Badungar has announced that the portrait of Indian Air Force (IAF) Marshal Arjan Singh will be installed at Central Sikh museum in the Golden Temple to pay tribute to him. The former IAF chief had died of following a cardiac arrest at the Army’s R&R hospital in New Delhi on Saturday.


The SGPC president said that Arjan Singh’s picture would be placed along with the 1965 Indo-Pak war hero, late Lieutenant General Harbakhsh Singh and General Jagjit Singh Aurora, here of 1971 war. “He is hero of the country as well as of Sikh community,” he said in a press release issued here.
“Such legendary personalities are sources of inspiration for next generations and youth should take a lesson from their lives. To pay respect to the Sikh Marshal, we have decided to install his portrait in the museum, so that devotees know about him,” he added.
